Louis A. DePasquale

City Manager, City of Cambridge

Over the past 47 years, Louis A. DePasquale has played a vital role in shaping the City of Cambridge. Before becoming City Manager in 2016, Mr. DePasquale served as the Assistant City Manager for Fiscal Affairs for more than 14 years and as the Budget Director for more than 20 years. During his tenure with the City, he has fostered a customer-focused environment and focused on maintaining the City's fiscal health so that it can provide high-quality services and programs to all residents. As City Manager, he has prioritized bold initiatives focused on affordable housing, sustainability, economic development, education, open space, and strengthening Cambridge's ongoing commitment to our diverse population.

 

In addition to focusing on leading the City, Mr. DePasquale has engaged in regional problem-solving collaborations that benefit Cambridge and surrounding communities. Since March 2020, Mr. DePasquale has worked closely with the Commissioner of Public Health, the Chief Public Health Officer, business associations, and community, regional, and state partners on the City's COVID-19 pandemic response

 

These ongoing efforts contribute to Cambridge being one of the best cities in which to live, work, innovate, and play.
